John Rorabeck | Chief Analyst Berrien County Forensic Laboratory

Berrien County Forensic Laboratory

"As a forensic chemist, all “street“ drug samples entering my laboratory are considered unknowns. LECO GC-MS technology has equipped me well to handle this challenging day to day reality. Our first Pegasus HT provided reliable identifications of the many modifications of cannabimimetic compounds arising in 2011 and beyond.

Our current Pegasus BT has the sensitivity to clearly identify novel versions of fentanyl at low concentrations and in the presence of multiple cutting agents. In addition, the ability of the system to operate exceptionally well while using hydrogen as a carrier gas allows us to employ a hydrogen generator, significantly reducing operating costs."
