Careers with LECO

In 1936, Carl Schultz and his business partners established the Laboratory Equipment Company in St. Joseph, Michigan after introducing the first hydrogen determinator to the iron and steel industry. Since that time, millions of samples around the world have been analyzed using LECO instruments for elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, metallography, and microstructural analysis. Throughout this phenomenal growth, LECO has maintained roots in St. Joseph, expanding its world headquarters facilities to include over 700 employees in the United States, with hundreds more located around the world.

When you talk to LECO employees, you’ll discover how much they enjoy being part of this company. Privately-owned by the same family for three generations, we recognize the importance of a family-friendly culture and strong work/life balance. LECO employees take pride in their work, valuing integrity, quality, and teamwork to get the job done.
